2nd Diwali Samaroh 2019 by NIHAA

Deepavali or Diwali means “a row of lamps” in Sanskrit, A Festival of Lights, Togetherness and Happiness, which was celebrated by NIHAA for 2nd time in a row with great aplomb and perfection to its core.

The essence of Diwali is to brighten our hearts and mind and NIHAA Volunteers worked effortlessly to bring in communities together to light up our heart and mind on October 13th Sunday evening. This evening witnessed celebration that started with great fanfare and celebrated everything that is good, kind and positive. A big shout out for NIHAA Organizers, Sponsors and its Volunteers who worked endlessly to create this Diwali celebration memories in our hearts forever!

Oct 13th evening air was rich with the smell of incense, lights, Kids cheer and everyone’s smile. We started the evening with Puja\Aarti to pay obeisance to the goddess of wealth and prosperity, Lakshmi Ji and Ganesh Ji and to seek their blessings.

The rest of the evening that followed marked various games for kids and adults, music and aromas from food\sweets that filled up the environment that this festival ushers in a period of merriment – a time to revel in the company of loved ones, dress up in finery and gorge on delicious dishes prepared for the event. It was an occasion to behold with childlike wonderment. Kids participation with great enthusiasm for their Diwali Questions\Answers round also gave an insight into their awareness and involvement into the festival. Kids and Adults musical chair games stole the show and then scintillating music made everyone dance like no one is watching.

As each one of us watched in wonder, Diwali evening organized by NIHAA gave us the gift of togetherness, happiness, teamwork, connecting to our roots and most importantly of memories that would last us a lifetime. Diwali is also a time for reflection, a time to re-visit and judge impartially, one’s thoughts, actions and words and to rid oneself of the darkness and negativity that dwells within. Regardless of how tough a year has been – the sights and sounds of Diwali, the love, camaraderie and good cheer that pervades the atmosphere, diminishes sorrows and manages to rekindle hope in the hearts. This is what NIHAA Diwali Festival celebration gave us ….

Diwali is a celebration of life and all the good that it has to offer, it is a time for togetherness and bonding.

We are grateful and Thankful from our heart to our NIHAA Volunteers and Sponsors who kept the execution of the program smooth and flawless execution of everything planned. Together we can make a difference and uplift each other as community. Looking forward for many such events to celebrate our commitment to society, festivals and our bonding and togetherness.

May this festival of lights bring you peace, prosperity, success, health and great happiness!
Happy Diwali!
